(S)he'd fly through the air with the greatest of ease, That daring young (Wo)man on the flying trapeze!

Being friends with a Dance major has its benefits, an example of which is getting invited to watch members of the opposite sex (opposite of me that is) swing around on trapeze (trapezes? trapi? trapoxen? Your guesses are probably better than mine). My friend Kate, whom is in the first picture doing a super awesome split, had her aerial dance finals last Wednesday. Her dance was a very cool, Avatar The Last Airbender inspired duet that I put together music for, so of course I went to watch. I brought my camera hoping that the lighting would be at least somewhat decent, but of course it wasn't, so I don't have any shots of the actual performances. I was, however, able to get a few pictures afterwards when the girls were playing around on the traps and silks like it was an indoor playground.

SNOW DAY!

I know this post is a bit behind, but last Saturday brought about the first snow day I've experienced in Towson. In good spirits we trekked across campus to get to the Dunkin Donuts (which will be from here on out referred to as Double D's, which is a weird thing for me to say because I don't really plan on mentioning Dunkin Donuts again (I was wrong (also I'm using sub-parentheses (They're multiplying like God damn rabbits)))). We took more of a scenic/adventure route and Milan and Kate put up with my excessive shutter-bugging. We eventually did arrive at Double D's (I mentioned it again!) and warmed our bodies before the shorter and less enjoyable walk back.

Enter the Spider: Fists of Silk

I still find it strange when I actually enjoy doing homework. Most of the time I keep procrastinating on my projects and papers until the very last second. The only thing that properly motivates me is the impending doom I feel hours before the assignments are due. Granted this project was a last minute ordeal too, but that's because of all the other crap I had to do.
The project was to tell a story in as close to six photos as possible. I used seven; eight if you count the spider web picture I used in the opening credits. That's right; my seven image story has opening credits. The excitement doesn't stop there either because there's sound effects (including karate yells that sound as if they were ripped straight from an episode of Hong Kong Phooey) and music by the amazing J.G. Thirlwell too!

Thanks to my roommate Milan for being my black Bruce Lee and to everyone's favorite princess of the trapeze Kate for providing the little rubber spider, which I'm pretty sure she found lying around somewhere.

Hopefully this blog will be frequently updated with my photography and movies when I produce them. Expect photos until next semester when I start my first production course.
